![]() Any topic, any stance, any length, you can create a Squidoo lens for it. It is different from a content mill in that you can write whatever your little heart desires, within reason. Squidoo is a writing site loosely comparable to Yahoo Contributor Network and HubPages. No hidden fees and completely free! Has so far paid its members over $18 Million. Redeem your points for cash & gift cards. Branded Surveys: Complete online surveys.SurveyJunkie: Make $5-$25 in your spare time from home to take online surveys, participating in a Focus Groups and trying new products.Watch videos, take surveys, shop and more. InboxDollars: Has so far paid its members over $40 Million.Earn up to $35 per survey! No hidden fees and completely free. SwagBucks: Watch videos, take surveys, shop and more to earn real money. Not to mention the Amazon and other miscellaneous revenue. In the next month I had not one, but two lenses in the top tier of Squidoo's ad pool, which means I'll likely receive over $100 just from that alone. I'm more than excited about next month though. In my third month, my earnings broke $100 dollars and exceeded my goal to double my earnings each month. I've created over 25 lenses, some have been amazing ideas that bombed, and some were spur-of-the-moment ideas that ended up becoming popular hits. It really is a warm and nurturing place in a quite lonely internet marketing world. I joined the Facebook Squidoo community (you must apply to post in the community), which is a great place to post your newly created lens to get feedback from other lensmasters. A lens you create will start ranking in Google in 24 hours, but it's difficult to really start getting serious traffic until at least a week, and sometimes it can be months. The earnings came mainly from Amazon sales, with only a small amount of money from the Ad Pool (I'll explain how Squidoo's payments work in another page).Īs your lenses mature on Squidoo, they start to do better in Google. September 2012 Earnings: $35.72 - off twelve lensesĪgain this isn't the kind of sum that you can start living off of, but the earnings are exceeding my goal to double my earnings every month. It was one of the first lenses I've made and, while not a huge traffic getter, does get consistent earnings. But I'm not going to create a Loki fansite (that's going one step too far). I've been fascinated by the cult following that Loki has developed on places like Tumblr. It's those kinds of ideas that I will make lenses about.įor example, I created a lens about Loki, the villain from the Avengers. Sometimes there's things that you're interested in, but don't want to make a whole website about. While I had my regular websites to write content for, I found Squidoo to be a great place to write 'off-topic'. My original plan, using Squidoo for backlinks, kind of fell by the wayside as I started to really enjoy the process of making 'lenses', which is what Squidoo calls its webpages. That's why I set out a plan to double my earnings every month. But over time your rewards start growing, and they start growing exponentially. But if there's anything I've learned from the blogging game, is that you need to do a lot of work upfront with little to no rewards. Now this is a paltry sum, considering how much work I put into squidoo lenses (usually they take me half a day). My August Earnings: $13.52 - off five lenses. I started in June and it was August when I first got paid. Those first couple of months are quite tantalizing, since you spend most of it learning of sales that you've made but know that you're going to have wait quite some time. Now, because I have been on Squidoo for five months, that means I've only been paid for three of those months so far. Meaning that if you make a certain amount of money off of sales on Squidoo in July, it will be September before you are paid for that money. But for this article I should mention that Squidoo payouts operate on a two month delay. Squidoo has an unique payout structure that I'll get to in another post.
